Vanquish Frozen Forest
Hi!
Someone has ANY tips at doing this? I run H/H with SAB's necro builds on the heroes. I have no trouble till I come to the south west part, the big patrols of summits makes piñata fun out of me. Is there a place where the patrols don't meet up so I can kill 1 before another arrives. Also when four dolyaks come, I have some trouble killing them, any suggestions?
Thx in advance. I off to wipe snakes dance

It's been a long time, but I don't remember having much of a problem with overlapping patrols there. I zoned in through the southwest portal and worked my way through the groups from that end. Standard pulling was able to separate the groups pretty well. There might have been one or two groups there that didn't want to separate, but I don't remember more of a problem than that. I always like taking interrupts, so if you're running Sab's build, you may want to tweak it somewhat to get some interrupts (depending on what your profession and build are).
As for the Dolyaks, four together is tough. Three is doable, two is better, if you can separate them. If not, minions help to distract them. I used to target a non-Dolyak enemy (one or more), wait for the Dolyaks to cast their protection on them, then switch target to the Dolyaks. They should go down at that point.
Sorry I don't have anything more concrete. Good luck.

Yes, that's what I did. Force the Dolyaks to use their marks then switch targets. Also plan on the fact that you will have to take out some jades. Heroes are infused, henchies are not.

Flagged everyone a few meters on the bridge and pulled them 1 by 1 (1 being a group of 5: 1 dolyak, 3 rangers 1 warrior)
But yeah, the end is a pita compared to the rest.. Very careful pulling, very fast running if you do aggro to much would be about the best advice we can give you
Was also running the 3 necro build, me being a warrior.

Ive also used sabs 3 nec build for some things, and it is a beautifull thing. For this map however when I vanqd it, I think I used a slightly different build, my mm is set to produce and maintain the minions rather than nova them, thus keeping targets up for the enemies other than my h/h. Most of my dmg comes from myeself (ele) and a second hero ele, I have him set with sf and other burning spells, to compliment my build. I (by accident) pulled 2 groups, to shortly therafter be joined by 3rd, when i did this. I reflagged the h/h a lil bit further back waited for the dolaks to use their prot(E) then hit them with meteor shower from myself and hero ele, they had all advanced to same spot after i reflagged. durring met showers the 4th group came in got caught 4 dolaks in same spot. nuked the crap outa them and they went down. it was a cluster f#$% and not the ideal safe battle, but I did survive.
All im saying here is there is more than one way to do it, just be quick and adjust on the fly, and of course keep trying and you will pull through. gl ^^

Mark of Protection is awful when there's 3 or more Dolyaks kicking around. Like previous posters said the best way to deal with that is avoid it by careful pulling.
However this often goes wrong so stuff like Scrouge Healing, Defile Flesh and Enchant removal should be worked into you build I reckon. I didn't find it necessary in Frozen Forest so much, but it's the stuff that made Eastern Frontier quite easy in the end.

eotn consumables make vanquishing like its normal mode. when i did frozen forest at that last part i lagged for a sec as i was pulling and accidently argoed all 4 groups. with armour of salvation and grail of might up they dropped like they were 6 lvls below me.
the switching target method works well with mark of prot but when there are so many doyaks a curse nec with chillbains works very well too. my method for stopming large groups in hm (as an ele) is mindbender, metor shower, deep freeze, savannah heat, tienai's heat, searing heat. if they arent all dead from that then my cures nec hero has eoe on him and well its just funny seeing them kill all there friends.
